What is the name of Amazon's cashierless convenience store brand?

The story behind the answer

Amazon’s cashierless convenience store brand was Amazon Go. The concept used cameras, shelf sensors, and computer vision to let shoppers enter with the Amazon Go app, take products, and leave without stopping at a traditional checkout.

Amazon announced the store concept in December 2016, but the first location opened to the public in Seattle on January 22, 2018, after an extended employee-testing period. The original store was located in the company’s hometown and was designed to demonstrate Amazon’s “Just Walk Out” shopping technology.

Amazon Go is often confused with Amazon Fresh, which is a grocery retail brand, or Amazon Dash, a product and ordering initiative. Amazon Go stores were smaller convenience-focused locations, selling items such as prepared meals, snacks, drinks, and household essentials. The brand was later wound down as Amazon shifted its physical-retail strategy toward Whole Foods and grocery delivery.
