The maximum voice channel bitrate on a Level 3 boosted server is 384 kbps.
Discord’s server-boosting system raises technical limits when members contribute Server Boosts. Level 3 requires 14 boosts and increases the voice-channel bitrate cap from the ordinary 96 kbps limit to 384 kbps. Discord documents bitrate in bits per second, so its 384,000-bits-per-second limit is commonly written as 384 kbps.
The lower figures are not random alternatives: 128 kbps is associated with Level 1, while 256 kbps is associated with Level 2. A frequent mix-up is confusing the server’s maximum channel setting with the bitrate actually used by every call; administrators can choose a lower value, and higher bitrate requires more bandwidth. Discord also lists 384 kbps for certain servers with the VIP_REGIONS feature, even without relying solely on the normal boost-level progression.
