China’s Fuxing trains have a maximum scheduled operating speed of 350 km/h on selected main lines.
The return of 350 km/h scheduled services began in 2017 on parts of the Beijing–Shanghai high-speed railway. Fuxing, meaning “rejuvenation,” is China’s domestically developed high-speed train family and succeeded earlier CRH-branded trainsets on major routes.
A scheduled operating speed is different from a train’s design capability or a one-time test speed. Train performance also depends on infrastructure, weather, traffic, signalling, station spacing, and operating policy.
The 350-km/h figure is therefore not the speed of every Fuxing journey. Many services run at lower speeds, and different routes have different limits. China’s high-speed network also includes trains and lines designed around 250 or 300 km/h operation.
