What is the maximum number of options in a Telegram poll?

The story behind the answer

The maximum number of options in a Telegram poll is 10. Telegram’s poll system allows a creator to provide between two and ten answer choices.

Polls were added to Telegram in 2018 as a lightweight way to ask questions in groups and channels. Telegram later expanded them with Polls 2.0, adding visible votes, multiple-answer polls, and quiz mode with a designated correct answer. These formats change how people vote, but the standard option limit remains ten.

The number of voters is a separate issue from the number of options. A poll can be answered by a large audience in a group or channel, while the question itself still has no more than ten choices. Telegram also supports features such as randomized option order, time limits, hidden results, and explanations for quiz answers.

Ten is therefore the canonical answer for a normal Telegram poll. The number should not be confused with five, which may be used in simpler polls, or with the much larger number of people who can vote in a busy group or channel.
