In Telegram’s mobile apps, users tap the video-message control and hold or tap to record, producing a circular video that appears inline in the conversation. The format is distinct from a regular uploaded video, which can be much longer and is governed by file-size and platform limits rather than the video-message duration cap.
The most common mistake is treating “video message” and “video” as synonyms. Telegram’s ordinary video uploads can contain substantially longer recordings, while the round video-message format is intentionally brief.
