What is the full name of the boy who lives in a cupboard under the stairs in Harry Potter?

The full name of the boy who lives in a cupboard under the stairs in Harry Potter is Harry James Potter.

Harry is the central character of J. K. Rowling’s seven-book series. He is the orphaned son of James and Lily Potter, who are killed by the dark wizard Lord Voldemort when Harry is still a baby. Harry survives the attack, becoming famous in the wizarding world as “the Boy Who Lived.”

Before discovering that he is a wizard, Harry is raised by his aunt and uncle, Petunia and Vernon Dursley, at 4 Privet Drive. The Dursleys treat him poorly and make him sleep in the cupboard under the stairs, while their son Dudley receives the larger bedroom. This detail is sometimes confused with Harry’s later small bedroom upstairs, which he receives after the Hogwarts letters begin arriving.

Harry’s middle name, James, honours his father. His own children later include James Sirius Potter, Albus Severus Potter, and Lily Luna Potter.
