Pete and Trudy Campbell’s daughter on Mad Men is named Tammy.
Tammy is born during the fourth season after Pete and Trudy have struggled with fertility and considered adoption. Trudy’s pregnancy becomes an important turning point in their marriage, and Pete uses the news to help secure business from her father, Tom Vogel. Their daughter is born late in the season, and the couple names her Tammy Campbell.
The character is easy to confuse with the other children in the Campbell and Draper storylines. Pete also has a son with Peggy Olson, a child Peggy gives up without Pete becoming Tammy’s everyday father. Trudy, however, is Tammy’s mother, and Tammy is Pete’s child with Trudy.
Tammy was born between September 7 and 10, 1965, according to the character chronology. She later appears in the family’s Connecticut life and in the series finale-era storyline, when Pete and Trudy reconcile and prepare to move to Wichita.
