What is the exact date of Usain Bolt's 100m world record?

Usain Bolt set his 100-metre world record on 16 August 2009. He ran 9.58 seconds in the final at the World Championships in Berlin, Germany, defeating American Tyson Gay, who finished in 9.71 seconds, and Jamaican teammate Asafa Powell, who ran 9.84 seconds.

Bolt’s 9.58 improved his own world record of 9.69 by 0.11 seconds. That was an extraordinary margin in a sprint event where records are usually lowered by hundredths of a second. The race was wind-assisted within the legal limit, with a following wind of 0.9 metres per second.
