What is Jaguar's first all electric car model called?

Jaguar's first all-electric car model is called the I-Pace. Jaguar unveiled the I-Pace in 2018 as a battery-electric performance SUV and its first production vehicle powered entirely by electricity.

The I-Pace was developed on a dedicated electric platform rather than being adapted from a petrol-powered Jaguar. Its battery pack sits between the axles, while electric motors drive both the front and rear wheels. This layout helped give the SUV a low centre of gravity, all-wheel drive and strong acceleration.

The production model followed the I-Pace Concept, shown at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. The name combines Jaguar's familiar “pace” naming tradition with the letter “I,” associated with intelligent and electric technology. It is sometimes confused with Jaguar's E-Type Zero, but that was an electric conversion concept based on a classic E-Type, not Jaguar's first all-electric production model.
