What is Discord's mascot named?

Discord's mascot is named Wumpus.

Wumpus is the friendly blue creature used throughout Discord's branding, onboarding screens, illustrations, stickers, and promotional material. The character became one of the platform's most recognizable symbols as Discord grew from a gamer-focused voice-chat service into a broader communications platform.

Users may encounter Wumpus in empty states, including screens shown when a direct-message list has no blocked users or when a new community needs visual guidance. Discord has also used the character in sticker packs, merchandise, and celebratory artwork.

Wumpus is sometimes confused with Clyde, but Clyde is the name associated with Discord's game-controller-shaped logo and system branding, not the mascot's name. The name also evokes Hunt the Wumpus, a 1973 computer game, although the Discord character is a separate creation. Duke, Tux, and Clippy are mascots or assistants associated with other products and are not Discord's mascot.
