What former Roblox currency was often called Tix?

The former Roblox currency often called Tix was officially known as Tickets. Tickets existed alongside Robux during Roblox’s early history and were used as a separate virtual currency for platform activities and rewards.

Roblox introduced Tickets in its early years, when users could earn them through routine participation and other account-related activities. Robux, by contrast, became the platform’s principal premium currency and was increasingly central to purchases, avatar items and game-related transactions.

“Tix” is simply the familiar shortened name, not a different currency. That is why answers such as Credits or Bloxbux do not fit. Robux is also a common trap: it was the other major Roblox currency, but it was not the currency known as Tickets.

Roblox removed Tickets in 2016, ending a long-running part of the platform’s economy. The term remains familiar among longtime players, who often remember the old two-currency system even though modern Roblox primarily uses Robux.
