Paul Scholes played his entire professional football career for Manchester United.

The midfielder joined United's academy in 1991, turned professional in 1993, and made his senior breakthrough during the 1994–95 season. He remained with the club throughout his playing career, becoming one of the best-known members of the “Class of ’92” generation associated with manager Alex Ferguson.

Scholes briefly announced his retirement in 2011 but returned to Manchester United in January 2012 during a midfield injury crisis. He finally retired at the end of the 2012–13 season. Across his United career, he made more than 700 appearances and won 11 Premier League titles, three FA Cups, and two UEFA Champions League titles.
