A bouquet is the traditional flower arrangement presented to a quinceañera.
Flowers are a visible part of many quinceañera ceremonies and receptions. The honoree may receive a bouquet during the formal presentation, carry it in photographs, or use it as part of the event’s color and decoration scheme. The flowers can express beauty, celebration, affection, and family support.
The type and color of the flowers are not fixed across the tradition. Roses are especially common in formal arrangements, but families choose flowers based on season, budget, symbolism, or personal taste. Some modern celebrations use artificial flowers or another symbolic object.
A bouquet is different from a corsage. A corsage is a small floral accessory worn on the wrist or clothing, while a bouquet is a gathered arrangement held in the hands. A particular flower is therefore not a universal requirement.
