A bouquet is the flower arrangement traditionally presented to a quinceañera during some celebrations.
The bouquet is often coordinated with the gown, decorations, and the colors chosen for the event. Roses are especially common in Latin American celebrations, although the actual flowers depend on season, region, and personal preference.
A family member, padrino, or another participant may present the flowers during the formal program. The bouquet can also be carried during photographs or placed near a religious image during a Mass, depending on the family’s customs.
A bouquet is different from a corsage, which is a small floral accessory worn on the wrist or clothing, and from a boutonniere, which is generally worn by a man. Flower traditions vary, so no single species is required for every quinceañera.
