What country is FC Barcelona's number 17 Alex Song from?

Alex Song, the former FC Barcelona midfielder who wore number 17, is from Cameroon.

Born Alexandre Dimitri Song Billong in Douala, Cameroon, he grew up in a football family. He moved to France as a teenager and began his professional career with Bastia before joining Arsenal in 2005. At Arsenal, Song developed from a young utility player into a composed defensive midfielder and became a regular in the first team.

Barcelona signed him from Arsenal in 2012. He spent two seasons with the Spanish club, winning La Liga in the 2012–13 campaign, although competition for midfield places limited his playing time. He later had loan spells and continued his career in several countries.
