What commercial is "Friends" actor Matthew Perry's dad famous for starring in?

Matthew Perry's father, John Bennett Perry, was famous for starring in Old Spice commercials.

John Bennett Perry was an American actor, singer, and model who became especially recognizable as the clean-shaven sailor in Old Spice advertisements. The commercials, associated with the brand's classic nautical imagery, ran prominently during the 1970s and 1980s and made Perry a familiar advertising figure before his son's television fame.

The answer sometimes gets mixed up with the later Old Spice campaign featuring Isaiah Mustafa, whose “The Man Your Man Could Smell Like” advertisements became an internet-era sensation in 2010. John Bennett Perry belonged to the earlier generation of Old Spice advertising and was known for playing the sailor rather than the later shirtless spokesman.

Perry also had a substantial acting career, appearing in films such as Lipstick, Independence Day, and George of the Jungle, as well as television programs including Falcon Crest and The West Wing. He and Matthew Perry played father and son in Fools Rush In and on Scrubs, adding another memorable link to the family's entertainment history.
