What college did NFL QB Jay Cutler attend?

The story behind the answer

NFL quarterback Jay Cutler attended Vanderbilt University. He played college football for the Vanderbilt Commodores from 2002 through 2005 and became one of the most productive quarterbacks in the program’s history.

Cutler set Vanderbilt records with 8,697 passing yards and 59 touchdown passes. He was also a three-time team captain and earned SEC Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2005. His final collegiate pass was a game-winning touchdown against Tennessee, a memorable finish to his Vanderbilt career.

The Nashville school helped establish Cutler as an NFL prospect, and the Denver Broncos selected him with the 11th overall pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. He later played for the Chicago Bears and Miami Dolphins. A common mix-up is confusing Vanderbilt with the university Cutler attended after his professional career; Vanderbilt was his college throughout his playing days.
