What car brand sells the electric vehicle the Bolt EV?

Chevrolet is the car brand that sells the electric vehicle called the Bolt EV.

The Bolt EV was developed by General Motors and marketed under its Chevrolet division. It debuted as a production model at the 2016 Consumer Electronics Show, with the first customer deliveries beginning in California in December 2016. Its name refers to electric power and also echoes Chevrolet's long-running Bolt model name.

The first-generation Bolt was a five-door battery-electric hatchback designed to offer roughly 200 miles of range on a charge, an important figure when many affordable EVs had much shorter range. It was assembled at GM's Orion Assembly plant in Michigan, while LG supplied major battery and electrical components.

The Bolt EV is easy to confuse with the larger Bolt EUV, introduced for 2022. Both belong to Chevrolet's Bolt family, but the EUV is a roomier crossover-style vehicle. Chevrolet also sold a closely related version in Europe as the Opel Ampera-e.
