What candy ran the promotion for baseball's one millionth run?

The story behind the answer

Tootsie Rolls ran the promotion for baseball’s one millionth run. On May 4, 1975, Houston Astros first baseman Bob Watson was credited with scoring Major League Baseball’s millionth run at Candlestick Park in San Francisco.

Watson reached base with a walk, advanced to second, and then sprinted home when teammate Milt May hit a three-run homer. At nearly the same time, Cincinnati Reds shortstop Dave Concepcion was circling the bases after hitting a home run. Watson crossed the plate only a few seconds ahead of him.

The promotion awarded Watson one million Tootsie Rolls, along with one million pennies—worth $10,000—and a Seiko watch. Watson donated the candy to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. His uniform, cleats, and the bat involved in the play were also preserved as memorabilia.

There is a historical twist: later statistical recalculations concluded that Watson probably did not score the literal millionth run because earlier records contained errors. He remained the celebrated winner of the 1975 promotion, however, which is why Tootsie Rolls is the canonical trivia answer.
