What building was renamed Independence Hall after the Declaration of Independence was adopted there?

The story behind the answer

The building later renamed Independence Hall was the Pennsylvania State House.

The Second Continental Congress met in the Pennsylvania State House in Philadelphia when it adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. The building had been completed in the 1750s as the seat of Pennsylvania's colonial government.

After American independence, the landmark became strongly associated with the founding of the United States and acquired the name Independence Hall. It also hosted the Constitutional Convention in 1787, making it connected to both the Declaration and the United States Constitution.

Independence Hall is part of Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia. The Liberty Bell, another major American symbol, is displayed nearby, but it is a separate object and was not the building where Congress adopted the Declaration.
