The book "Earthman, Come Home" was written by whom?

The story behind the answer

The book "Earthman, Come Home" was written by James Blish. It is a science-fiction book centered on the "Okies," people who travel through space in entire mobile cities powered by fictional antigravity devices called spindizzies.

The title first appeared as a story in Astounding Science-Fiction in 1953. Blish later gathered it with three related stories—"Okie," "Bindlestiff," and "Sargasso of Lost Cities"—to create the 1955 book published by Putnam. That collection became part of the larger Cities in Flight sequence, which was eventually assembled in a single 1970 volume.

A common source of confusion is the book’s relationship to Cities in Flight. Earthman, Come Home is both a standalone collection and the third published volume in the sequence, while Cities in Flight is the later omnibus title for the complete series. Blish was also known for A Case of Conscience, which won the 1959 Hugo Award for Best Novel.
