Supergirl is part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters. The chapter is the opening phase of the shared universe planned by DC Studios co-chiefs James Gunn and Peter Safran, bringing films, series, animation and other projects under a new continuity.

The title “Gods and Monsters” was announced with the first DCU slate in January 2023.
