Phoenix Park and St. Stephen's Green are located in Dublin, the national capital of Ireland.
Phoenix Park is one of Europe's largest enclosed public parks, covering more than 700 hectares just west of Dublin's city centre. Established as a royal deer park in the 17th century, it opened to the public in 1747. The park contains Áras an Uachtaráin, the residence of Ireland's president, as well as Dublin Zoo and a large herd of fallow deer.
St. Stephen's Green is a historic landscaped square at the southern end of central Dublin. It was enclosed as a private park in the 17th century and opened to the public in 1880 after funding from the Guinness family. A common mix-up is confusing Dublin with nearby capitals such as Belfast, but Dublin is the capital of the Republic of Ireland, while Belfast is the capital of Northern Ireland.
