Pandora is a small moon orbiting which planet?

The story behind the answer

Pandora is a small moon orbiting Saturn.

Saturn’s Pandora was discovered in 1980 in images returned by the Voyager 1 spacecraft. It is an irregular, outer shepherd moon of Saturn’s narrow F ring, helping gravitationally influence the ring’s structure along with the nearby moon Prometheus.

Pandora is not the same object as Saturn’s larger moon Titan or as the asteroid 55 Pandora. The shared name comes from Greek mythology, but the astronomical bodies have different locations, sizes, and histories.

The moon’s name was formally assigned in 1985. Its surface is bright and heavily cratered, and its low density is consistent with a porous interior. Because it is small and irregular, Pandora is usually discussed in connection with Saturn’s rings rather than as one of the planet’s major moons.
