On which US television network did House M.D. originally air?

The story behind the answer

House M.D. originally aired on the American television network Fox.

The medical drama debuted on Fox on November 16, 2004, and became one of the network’s signature scripted series. Its episodes combined diagnostic puzzles with character drama centered on Gregory House and his colleagues.

Fox broadcast the show in the United States for all eight seasons. The series finale aired on May 21, 2012, concluding a run of 177 episodes.

International broadcasters later carried the program under different scheduling arrangements, but Fox was its original US home. The title is commonly shortened to House, although House M.D. was the official title used in many markets.
