On which U.S. network did Big Brother 28 premiere?

The story behind the answer

Big Brother 28 premiered on the U.S. network CBS. The season opened with a special 90-minute episode on July 9, 2026, continuing the long-running reality competition’s established home on the network.

CBS has aired the American version of Big Brother since its debut in 2000. The format places contestants, known as Houseguests, under constant surveillance while they compete for power, nominate one another for eviction, and vote contestants out of the house.

Season 28 was promoted with a time-travel theme and expanded programming, including the companion program Big Brother: Unlocked. Episodes were also available through Paramount+, but streaming availability does not change the answer to a question asking for the U.S. network premiere.

Fox, ABC, and NBC are all major American broadcast networks, yet none is the home network for the main U.S. Big Brother series. International editions may air on different broadcasters, which is a common source of mix-ups.
