On which Parisian street is Cartier's flagship store located?

The story behind the answer

Cartier’s Parisian flagship store is located on Rue de la Paix.

The historic boutique is at number 13, Rue de la Paix, in Paris’s 2nd arrondissement. Louis Cartier moved the Paris branch there in 1899, establishing an address that became central to the company’s identity and creative history.

Rue de la Paix runs between Place Vendôme and the Opéra Garnier. It became famous for luxury retail and high jewellery, making it a natural setting for Cartier’s Paris headquarters and boutique. The street’s association with jewellers is older than Cartier, but the Maison helped make the location internationally synonymous with prestige.

A common mix-up is to choose the Champs-Élysées because it is Paris’s best-known avenue, or Avenue Montaigne because of its luxury fashion houses. Cartier’s landmark historical address is specifically Rue de la Paix. The number 13 is also part of the Maison’s lore: Cartier notes that it has regarded the number as lucky since moving there in 1899.
