On which console was the first Western Pokémon Stadium game released?

The story behind the answer

The first Western Pokémon Stadium game was released on the Nintendo 64.

Pokémon Stadium appeared in Western regions as a Nintendo 64 strategy game in 2000, following a Japan-only 1998 release called Pocket Monsters Stadium. The game presented Pokémon battles in three-dimensional arenas rather than the overhead, sprite-based style of the Game Boy role-playing games.

Its gameplay focused on turn-based battles, Cups, Gym Leader Castle challenges, and minigames. A bundled Transfer Pak let players connect Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow cartridges to use compatible Pokémon in the Nintendo 64 game.

The Japanese naming history causes some confusion: the Western Pokémon Stadium was known in Japan as Pokémon Stadium 2, because it followed the earlier Japan-only title. The console itself was Nintendo’s 64-bit successor to the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and was known for 3D-focused games.
