On what date was Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl released?

Taylor Swift released The Life of a Showgirl on October 3, 2025.

The album arrived through Republic Records after Swift announced it in August 2025. The release followed The Tortured Poets Department, her previous studio album, which had come out in April 2024.

The date was revealed alongside the album’s cover and track listing during the promotional buildup to the project. Swift’s announcement created a large amount of attention because the album represented her first new studio release after the major touring period associated with the Eras Tour.

Release dates can be mixed up with announcement dates, preorder dates, or dates connected with later promotional events. In this case, August 2025 was the announcement period, while October 3, 2025 was the official album release date. The date applies to the standard album release, not merely to an advance physical-order window.
