Sam Fender and Olivia Dean released their duet version of “Rein Me In” on 20 June 2025.
The song began as a Sam Fender track from his third studio album, “People Watching.” Fender and Dean first performed the reworked version together at London Stadium on 6 June 2025. After footage of that performance gained attention, they performed it again at Newcastle’s St James’ Park on 15 June before releasing the studio duet five days later.
Dean’s contribution turned the song into a conversational two-vocal performance, with her own verse and pre-chorus complementing Fender’s original writing. The collaboration was issued as a single through Polydor Records and later became a major UK chart success.
The date can be confused with the first live performance on 6 June or the second performance on 15 June. Those were performance milestones; 20 June 2025 is the digital release date for the recorded duet.
