On what date was Operation Olympic scheduled to invade southern Kyushu?

The story behind the answer

Operation Olympic was scheduled to invade southern Kyushu on November 1, 1945.

Olympic was the first stage of Operation Downfall, the proposed Allied invasion of Japan's home islands. Its objective was to seize the southern part of Kyushu and establish airfields that could support a subsequent attack on Honshu.

The planned invasion date was known as X-Day. Allied planners expected to use forces from the Pacific campaigns, with Okinawa serving as a major staging area. The projected armada included hundreds of warships and a large number of ground divisions, making Olympic one of the largest planned amphibious operations in history.

The date is sometimes mixed up with March 1, 1946, which was the tentative date for Operation Coronet, the second phase aimed at the Kanto Plain. Neither operation took place. Japan's surrender in August 1945 canceled the invasion before X-Day arrived.
