On what date was Mario Kart Tour released?

Mario Kart Tour was released on September 25, 2019. Nintendo launched the game for iOS and Android devices, making it the first Mario Kart title designed specifically for smartphones and tablets.

Nintendo announced Mario Kart Tour in January 2018, initially positioning it as a mobile expansion of the long-running racing series. The game uses touch-based controls and includes courses inspired by earlier Mario Kart games as well as tracks based on real-world cities.

Its content was organized into rotating themed tours, with cups containing races and bonus challenges. This structure distinguished Tour from the traditional console format, where players usually select a fixed Grand Prix or individual race.

The date can be confused with later tour launches or pre-registration and download timing. September 25, 2019 is the game’s original release date, not the date of a particular city tour. Mario Kart Tour was released through Apple’s App Store and Google Play.
