On what date was Apple Inc. founded?
Answer
April 1, 1976
Answer
April 1, 1976
Apple Inc. was founded on April 1, 1976, as the Apple Computer Company.
Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne formed the business as a partnership to market Wozniak’s Apple I computer. The Apple I was a bare circuit board rather than a complete modern-style computer, and buyers supplied extras such as a keyboard, display, and power source.
The founding date is sometimes confused with January 3, 1977, when Apple Computer, Inc. was formally incorporated. Ronald Wayne also left the venture shortly after its creation, selling his stake back to Jobs and Wozniak. Apple kept the “Apple Computer” name until 2007, when it became Apple Inc. as its business expanded beyond personal computers.
