The United States Army’s 250th Birthday Parade took place on June 14, 2025, as an America250 soft launch.
The parade commemorated the Army’s founding on June 14, 1775, exactly 250 years earlier. It occurred in Arlington, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., with the route running from the Pentagon area toward the National Mall.
The event was associated with the United States Semiquincentennial because it previewed the nationwide celebrations planned for 2026. It was separate from the United States’ national 250th anniversary, which falls on July 4, 2026.
The parade lasted about 90 minutes and involved approximately 6,600 soldiers, at least 150 vehicles, helicopters, aircraft, horses, and mules. Its date also coincided with Flag Day.
