On what date did Diablo III: Reaper of Souls launch?

The story behind the answer

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls launched on March 25, 2014.

Reaper of Souls is the first expansion for Diablo III and continues the campaign after the defeat of Diablo. Its story follows Malthael, the former Angel of Wisdom, who returns as the Angel of Death and threatens the human population of Sanctuary.

The expansion added Act V, set largely around Westmarch, and introduced the Crusader as a playable class. It also raised the level cap from 60 to 70 and added the Adventure Mode endgame, which lets players complete randomized objectives across the game’s acts.

Players sometimes confuse the expansion’s release date with Diablo III’s original launch in 2012. Reaper of Souls arrived nearly two years later and significantly changed progression, loot, and endgame play. The Ultimate Evil Edition later brought the expansion’s content to consoles.
