America250 events formally began on July 3, 2025, according to the United States Semiquincentennial timeline.
The anniversary program unfolded before the 250th anniversary date itself. The celebrations began with the United States Army 250th Anniversary Parade on June 14, 2025, but the timeline identifies July 3, 2025, as the formal start of America250 events.
The main anniversary milestone followed on July 4, 2026, exactly 250 years after the Declaration of Independence was adopted. This means the America250 period included preparatory and commemorative events before the central anniversary day.
The dates can be confused because June 14, 2025, marked the Army parade, while July 4, 2026, marked the semiquincentennial itself. July 3, 2025, is the specific formal-start date.
