On Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, “august” appeared in the Folklore section.
The Eras Tour organized the concert around Swift’s studio albums and their distinct visual identities. During the Folklore portion, she performed “august” alongside other songs from the 2020 album, using styling and staging associated with its cottagecore-inspired atmosphere.
The song was a natural fit for that section because it is one of Folklore’s most recognizable narrative tracks and had developed a strong seasonal identity. Its annual August revival also made it especially familiar to both longtime Swifties and newer listeners.
The placement can be confused with Evermore because the two albums were released in the same year and share a muted, story-focused sound. “august” belongs to Folklore, while the Eras Tour’s Evermore section featured songs from the companion album.
