On "Friends", which supermodel moved in with Joey?

On Friends, supermodel Elle Macpherson moved in with Joey as his roommate, Janine LaCroix.

Janine arrives in the sixth season after Chandler moves in with Monica. Joey places an advertisement for a new roommate and immediately chooses Janine, an attractive Australian dancer, without asking many practical questions. Her presence changes the apartment’s atmosphere: she decorates it with pictures of babies, flowers and babies dressed as flowers, making Joey worry that he is becoming more feminine.

Joey and Janine eventually begin dating, but the relationship collapses when she admits that she dislikes Monica and Chandler. Joey tries to make the relationship work, yet Janine’s hostility toward his best friends forces him to choose between them. After another awkward double date, Joey ends the romance and Janine moves out.

Macpherson appeared in five sixth-season episodes from 1999 to 2000. Away from Friends, she was a major Australian supermodel nicknamed “The Body,” earned five Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue covers and later built businesses in lingerie and wellness.
