Oh Yeah? is Steve Lacy’s third studio album.

It follows Apollo XXI, released in 2019, and Gemini Rights, released in 2022. The numbering counts those two studio albums before Oh Yeah?; it does not treat every earlier project as a studio album.

That distinction matters because Lacy’s catalog also includes Steve Lacy’s Demo, a 2017 project that helped establish his reputation, as well as collaborative work with the Internet. Those releases are important to his story but do not change Oh Yeah?’s position as his third studio album.

The album arrived after Gemini Rights expanded Lacy’s audience through songs including “Bad Habit.” Rather than simply repeating that record’s formula, Oh Yeah? was described through a wider palette of guitar, synth-pop, rock, funk, and alternative R&B.
