Lucky cast member Clifton Collins Jr. voiced Cesar Vialpando in which video game?

The story behind the answer

Lucky cast member Clifton Collins Jr. voiced Cesar Vialpando in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.

Released in 2004, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is an open-world action-adventure game set mainly in the fictional state of San Andreas. Collins voiced Cesar Vialpando, the leader of the Varrios Los Aztecas street gang and the boyfriend of Kendl Johnson, the sister of protagonist Carl “CJ” Johnson.

Cesar becomes an important ally as CJ investigates betrayals within the Grove Street Families. He is associated with Los Santos street culture, customized cars, tattoos, and illegal racing, and later helps CJ uncover the conspiracy surrounding Big Smoke and Ryder.

The answer is sometimes confused with Grand Theft Auto: Vice City because both games feature prominent celebrity voice casts. Vice City was released in 2002, however, while Collins’s credited video-game role came in San Andreas. He also contributed archival recordings to the 2021 remastered compilation.
