J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was published in 2007.
The seventh and final Harry Potter novel was released on 21 July 2007. It concludes Harry’s confrontation with Lord Voldemort and resolves the central mystery surrounding the Deathly Hallows, three powerful magical objects from wizarding legend.
The book was released simultaneously in many markets and generated enormous public interest. Readers queued at bookstores, and publishers used elaborate secrecy measures to reduce the risk of plot details leaking before publication.
Deathly Hallows followed Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which appeared in 2005. The film adaptation divided the final novel into two parts: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 was released in 2010, and Part 2 followed in 2011.
