In which year was God of War Ragnarök released?
Answer
2022
Answer
2022
God of War Ragnarök was released in 2022.
The sequel launched for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9, 2022. It continues the story of Kratos and Atreus three years after the events of God of War (2018), as Fimbulwinter leads toward the prophesied Ragnarök.
The game expands the earlier title's Norse setting by allowing players to explore all nine realms. It introduces new story developments involving Thor, Odin, Freya, and the Aesir, while continuing the relationship between Kratos and his increasingly independent son.
God of War Ragnarök was developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. A PC version followed in 2024. The release year is sometimes confused with 2018, the year of the preceding God of War game, or with 2023, the year of its Valhalla downloadable content. Valhalla is a free post-launch epilogue rather than the original release of Ragnarök.
