Roger Federer last won the ATP Finals in 2011. He defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final at London’s O2 Arena, winning 6–3, 6–7, 6–3.
The 2011 championship was Federer’s sixth title at the season-ending event, which was then called the ATP World Tour Finals. His earlier victories came in 2003, 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2010. The 2011 triumph also completed a remarkable late-season run, as Federer won the Paris Masters immediately before the Finals and finished the year with a 17-match winning streak.
Federer returned to the final in 2015, but Novak Djokovic defeated him. That appearance is a common source of confusion: 2015 was Federer’s last ATP Finals final, but not his last championship. Federer made his final appearance at the event in 2019, losing in the round-robin stage.
His six titles remain one of the defining achievements of his indoor hard-court career and made him the event’s most successful singles champion at the time.
