House M.D. broadcast its final episode in 2012.
The series finale, “Everybody Dies,” aired on May 21, 2012. It concluded an eight-season run that began with the Fox premiere in November 2004. The final season dealt with House’s return to the hospital and the consequences of his earlier actions while preserving the show’s focus on difficult diagnoses.
The program’s conclusion came after years of international popularity and numerous cast changes. Several original team members had departed or taken different roles by the final season, but Hugh Laurie remained the central performer throughout the series.
The year is sometimes confused with 2011 because the eighth season began in that year. The 2011–2012 television season included the final run, but the last episode itself was broadcast in 2012.
