In which U.S. city is the Harley-Davidson Museum located?

The story behind the answer

The Harley-Davidson Museum is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The museum opened in 2008 on a large site near the Menomonee River in Milwaukee, the company’s historic hometown. Its exhibitions cover Harley-Davidson motorcycles, engineering, racing, travel, factory life, advertising, and rider culture.

Visitors can see early machines, unusual prototypes, production motorcycles, and company memorabilia. The museum is not the same place as the company’s original Juneau Avenue factory complex, although both are closely connected to Milwaukee’s Harley-Davidson history.

Milwaukee’s importance comes from the company’s founding and long manufacturing presence there. Harley-Davidson later operated factories in several other American locations and internationally, but Milwaukee remains the brand’s symbolic home.
