The Holy Chalice traditionally preserved in Valencia is kept in Valencia Cathedral, Spain.
The object is a cup held in the cathedral’s Chapel of the Holy Chalice. Catholic tradition identifies it as the cup used by Jesus at the Last Supper, although its historical provenance cannot be demonstrated with certainty.
The chalice’s documented medieval history connects it with the monastery of San Juan de la Peña in Aragon before it was transferred to Zaragoza and then to Valencia. King Alfonso V of Aragon gave it to Valencia Cathedral in 1437.
The Valencia vessel is frequently discussed alongside other claimed Grails. Its upper cup is made from polished stone, while the later gold handles, stem, and base are additions from different periods. Tradition and material history are therefore separate questions.
