Tom Brady threw 50 touchdown passes in the 2007 season. Playing for the New England Patriots, he set an NFL single-season record while leading the team to a perfect 16–0 regular-season record.
Brady’s record-setting campaign was fueled by an extraordinary partnership with wide receiver Randy Moss, who caught an NFL-record 23 touchdown passes. Brady finished with 4,806 passing yards, 50 touchdowns, and only eight interceptions, earning his first league MVP award.
He reached 50 touchdowns in the regular-season finale against the New York Giants, connecting with Moss on a 65-yard score. The touchdown also helped New England finish 16–0, although the Patriots later lost Super Bowl XLII to the Giants.
A common mix-up is confusing Brady’s 2007 total with Peyton Manning’s 55 touchdown passes in 2013. Manning eventually surpassed Brady’s record, but Brady’s 50-touchdown season remains one of the most dominant passing performances in NFL history.
