In which New York city is the Sagan Planet Walk located?

The Sagan Planet Walk is located in Ithaca, New York.

Created in 1997 as a memorial to Cornell professor and Ithaca resident Carl Sagan, the attraction is a walkable scale model of the Solar System. Its obelisks lead visitors through downtown Ithaca, beginning with a model of the Sun at the Ithaca Commons and continuing toward Pluto at the Sciencenter.

The model reduces the Solar System’s dimensions by a factor of five billion, allowing planetary distances to be experienced on foot. The original route is about 1.18 kilometers long and includes representations of the Sun, planets, and Pluto. An asteroid-belt station was added later, and the exhibition was expanded in 2012 with an Alpha Centauri station in Hawaii.

Ithaca is the key location, although the expanded exhibit is not confined entirely to New York. The Planet Walk is also easy to confuse with other planet walks in cities such as Syracuse or Rochester, but the Sagan memorial specifically began in Ithaca, where Sagan taught and conducted research at Cornell.
