In which city was the crowd noise recorded for Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl closing song?

The story behind the answer

The crowd noise in Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl closing song was recorded in Vancouver.

The album’s title track, “The Life of a Showgirl,” closes the standard edition as track twelve and features Sabrina Carpenter. Its outro includes crowd noise captured at the final Eras Tour concert in Vancouver in December 2024.

That recording gives the ending a live, celebratory atmosphere that connects the studio album to the tour that inspired much of its creation. Swift recorded the album during the European leg of the Eras Tour, but the crowd sample came from the tour’s concluding concert in Canada.

Stockholm is an easy mix-up because Swift recorded much of the album at MXM and Shellback Studios there. Sabrina Carpenter also recorded her contribution while touring in Sweden. The specific live audience heard at the song’s ending, however, came from Vancouver rather than Stockholm.
