In which Austrian city was the 2026 UEFA Super Cup played?
Answer
Salzburg
Answer
Salzburg
The 2026 UEFA Super Cup was played in Salzburg, Austria.
The match took place at Red Bull Arena, the home stadium of Red Bull Salzburg. Paris Saint-Germain faced Aston Villa there on 12 August 2026 after the clubs won the 2025–26 Champions League and Europa League respectively.
Salzburg became the first Austrian city to host the UEFA Super Cup. It was also the first major European club final staged in the city, although Austria had previously hosted major finals at Vienna’s Ernst-Happel-Stadion.
The city’s football history includes Salzburg’s long-established top-flight club, which plays at the same venue. The stadium had also hosted international tournament matches before the Super Cup.
